Field Reports starts here

If you found your way here, thanks for showing up early.

This is Field Reports on AI Agents — a monthly newsletter where I track down working professionals (finance, data, ops, supply chain, planning) and ask them the same set of questions:

  • What did you actually use AI for this month?
  • What's the prompt you'd never delete?
  • What broke?

Then I write it up, publish the prompts in full, and ship it to your inbox.

Why I'm doing this

I'm an industrial engineer at Texas Instruments, moving into business planning in April 2026. Every day I push AI agents at real supply-chain work — sometimes they hold, sometimes they don't. The wins are useful. The failures are more useful, but nobody writes those up.

So I started asking other working professionals what they were doing. Turns out a lot of people are quietly building serious workflows — they just don't have time to publish them.

That's the gap. I'll publish them.

What's coming in May

  • An interview with a senior FP&A analyst who replaced two days of monthly variance analysis with a Claude Code workflow
  • A field note from my own desk: how I'm using sub-agents to draft quarterly business reviews
  • A transcript-style writeup with a data engineer who automated 80% of his on-call triage

How to get the most out of this

Read the prompts. Copy them. Modify them. Reply with what worked or what didn't.

If you forward an issue to a colleague, that's the highest compliment.
